How to connect Facebook to Spider Social

August 1, 2026·6 min read

Connect a Facebook Page to Spider Social so your team can draft, approve, and publish from one calendar.

Spider Social publishes to Facebook Pages (not personal profiles). Once a Page is connected into a workspace, anyone with edit access can schedule and ship — and approvers can review in The Loom before anything goes live.

Before you start

  • You need an approved Spider Social account and a workspace.
  • You must be an admin (or have enough permission) on the Facebook Page you want to connect.
  • While Meta apps are in development / limited mode, the Facebook account may need to be added as a Tester or Admin on the Spider Meta app, and that invite must be accepted.

Connect the Page

  1. Sign in to Spider Social and open the workspace where this client or brand lives.
  2. From the sidebar or home empty state, choose ConnectFacebook.
  3. Complete Meta’s OAuth screen. Grant Page permissions Spider asks for (list Pages, manage posts, and related Page scopes).
  4. Pick the Page(s) you want in Spider’s Meta picker, then confirm.
  5. You should land back in the workspace with the Page as a channel — ready for the composer, calendar, and Review.

Publish a first post

Write in the channel composer (or have an agent submit via API). You can:

  • Save as draft and refine later
  • Send to Review so a client or approver signs off in The Loom
  • Schedule for a specific time, or publish now

Approved scheduled posts show on the workspace calendar. Click a published chip to open the live Facebook post; click a draft or scheduled chip to reopen the editor.

Common blockers

  • Invalid redirect / OAuth errors — the Meta app’s redirect URI must match Spider’s callback exactly (production HTTPS).
  • No Pages listed — your Facebook user isn’t an admin on any Page, or Page permissions were denied.
  • Works for you but not a teammate — invite them in Meta as a tester if the app isn’t fully live yet, and invite them to the Spider workspace with a role that can connect (Owner, Editor, or Client).

Tip for agencies

Have the client connect their Page into the workspace (Client role). You keep composing and scheduling as Editor; they approve in Review. Ownership can transfer later if they want to run the workspace themselves.
